AT LAST!

Well, faithful blog readers, it's official!

Demonglass and the next 2 books in the triolgy sold to Jen Besser (who works on the AMAZING Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, as well as the equally fab Blue Bloods books) at Hyperion, in a pre-empt. Don't believe me? Well, hurry up and go check it out in Publisher's Weekly! ;)

Thanks SO much to Amie and Carrie, both of whom saw the announcement in Publisher's Marketplace before I did, ha ha! I had no idea it was all out and announced and what have you!

Sometime over the weekend, I'll be posting the FULL story of my road to publication, but for right now, I'm gonna go have some champagne. Oh. Wait. It's 9:30 AM.

In that case, I'll go off to have a Mimosa.

Hi Rachel,
I just saw the PM blurb and hopped over to wish you congrats. But I think I might have just entered the Twilight Zone because I'm also
1. 28
2. living in Alabama
3. former teacher
Weird much? Oh, and I just signed a three-book-deal (tween, PRINCESS FOR HIRE) with Hyperion for Winter 2010 in June.
Cue the spooky music.
CONGRATS ON YOUR DEAL!

WOW and a big CONGRATS to you! You truly deserve it. Can't wait to get a copy! Maybe I can be so fortunate to get the author to sign in, considering we went to high school together and all. Hee Hee! Have a great weekend!
