In Which I Tell A Small Small Son Story

Ah, two "In Which I" posts in a row! Little Trivia Fact: HEX HALL once had chapters that were titled like that. You know, "In Which Our Heroine Befriends a Vampire, Cries Like a Dork, And Makes Lifelong Enemies." Then I realized that while this was TERRIBLY AMUSING (to me), it in no way matched the tone of the book. So I cut them, but GUESS WHAT? Totally bringing them back on the blog.

Anyway.

I hardly ever tell random stories about Small Son anymore, but tonight, I couldn't resist. And so, a Small Small Son Tale.

Earlier this evening, I was helping Small Son out in the bathroom (don't ask), and in leaning down to pick him up, I inadvertently poked his eye (with my knuckle, so it wasn't that bad, I promise.) He winced and whined a little, but I gave him kisses and told him I was sorry, and he seemed to accept that.

Until ten minutes later when he informed me that he wanted to tell me a story.

Here it is: "Once upon a time, I went into a cave because I needed to potty. Then a mean monkey witch came into the cave. And then she poked me in the eye."

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe Small Son has just mastered the art of allegory. *Sniff* I'm so proud!
